Ocean Series

Calmwater Designs...the name references the beginning. My first works were exploring the ocean, which I love deeply.  The mysteriousness of it.  The absurd creatures that have evolved in it and from it.

Including us.

The vast numbers of fishies and thingies and their connections fascinate me.  You can see it in my work.  And the flow of them, schools of fish.  The geometry of form. Their evolution. 

Nothing is quite so special to me as walking a beach, picking up shells.  I especially like the wash up areas with millions of little bits broken treasures.  Sifting through.  FIlling my pockets and the pockets of volunteers -aka friends- I might be with.
